Looking for a used Rapid Diver Tactical, not sport for sale

I am sure Chris will chime in, but when we spoke on the phone the other day, the Rapid Dive MILPRO w/ rebreather is going to be a few more months.
He definately knows there is a base out there seeking this particular module. I am looking forward to purchasing this unit as well. I am certified on the OMG CMK 3 and 4 and the LAR V. I have tried purchasing a OMG C96 PRO from Italy but with the Euro exchange rate and the international transfers it is a nightmare. ( Shipping alone is upwards to 800$)
So I am patiently waiting the release of Rapid Divers unit.

That will be good because by then I'll have my certification. Do you know, can you buy the tactical and just add the rebreather module later?

How did you go about getting certified on the Lar-V? Do you know of any other front mounted rebreathers that might be good in the ocean at about 70-100 ft?

My certification on the LAR V was through the IANTD. They have a searchable data base by model, but be prepared to answer some questions about your desires for instruction on that unit. As it should be.

As for the LAR v at 70-100', that is way beyond its range. A pure O2 CCR is not for beyond depths of 10m/30 ft max due to O2 toxicity.(This could be argued by more qualified users, but they are well trained and versed in its ways) You are wanting a mixed gas unit. The LAR VII is a mixed gas model. A google search will bring up its info but you wont really find one for purchase.

I'm finding out I really don't need a rebreather like the LAR V for right now.

I think I put the cart before the horse so to speak. But I'm still looking for a used Tactical or Milpro for rescue, search recovery, and crime scenes

Do you have a rapid diver? I saw a sport this weekend. Pretty useful.
