Benefits of the Rapid Diver for Underwater Photographers
I just got back from a trip to the Bahamas where I was photographing wild dolphins. I had the pleasure of testing out my Rapid Diver for the first time while shooting. When photographing Dolphins it is important to be able to enter the water quickly, as you never know when you will find them and how long they'll decide to stay. Usually they hang around for a short period of time. As a photographer I want in the water as soon as I see them. The Rapid Diver certainly allows for this. It is far more convenient than traditional scuba equipment and offers much better mobility. I was concerned that the tank on the front might get in the way of my equipment, but it wasn't an issue at all. In fact I found that by having the majority of my weight up front that I was positioned slightly forward which is exactly where I want to be while shooting. One of the downfalls of UW photography is how cumbersome all of the gear is. The Rapid diver is the answer, I think many of us have been looking for. I'm looking forward to using it for spring diving where usually there is a bit of a hike to the entry points and usually I have to make two trips.
I'll also be using it in the Keys this weekend.

I agree great system for photographers who shoot things that move and only stay around a short while.

Low signature 2nd stage for the Rapid Diver
This will be of interest to any photographer. I am working on a low signature 2nd stage that will be perfect for photographers getting close to the action. Details coming soon!
